Some local recommendations - make it walkable!
Lodging Recommendations
Below we have included a range of accomodation options recommended by the venue, there are also many other local hotels and B&B’s as well as AirBnB options so hopefully you will have a decent array of choice.
Also please note we have included the phone numbers in UK format so if you are phoning from outside the UK, dial +44 then the number WITHOUT the first zero.
Fernbank B&B
Lovely B&B which was renovated a few years ago, nice and fresh, great location just a few mins from Dun Aluinn. Definitely the most convenient location on the list and we have all 7 rooms blocked off for the wedding so please email Tina and she will look after you.
Croftness Cottage - Self-catering
Lovely self-catering cottages located together, there is The Bothy (sleeps 2) and The Cottage (sleeps 4) - nice panoramic views over Birks of Aberfeldy and the Tay Valley. Within walking distance to Aberfeldy and dog friendly, rated 5 stars by VisitScotland.
Grandtully hotel
8 bedroom Hotel run by the venue’s catering partners Ballintaggart Farm. Fabulous spot, with a great bar and restaurant, highly recommend for a group coming to the wedding wishing to stay together.
The Steading B&B
One of the owners of Dun Aluinn’s favourite spots. When they were renovating Dun Aluinn, this is where they stayed for a few weeks, nice comfortable and peaceful location. Sarah, the owner is very nice and welcoming.
About 3 miles from Dun Aluinn along the roads, so a taxi will be needed late at night

Pitilie Pods
Newly opened in 2018, these 5 individual pods are located 1.5 miles outside of Aberfeldy, fab views, and some of the pods come with Hot Tubs. Karen and David, who run this business, also supply all the kilned-dried fire wood for Dun Aluinn
