How it all began
We first met on Memorial Day weekend in 2020. It was peak pandemic and it all started with a FaceTime call as Monica was in South Carolina with her parents. Much wine and laughter was had (and one pretty robust hangover followed the next day).
Two years, and many, many adventures later, we are excited to get married and start the next chapter of our lives together.
In the time since meeting, we have had shared some truly incredible adventures; we’ve road tripped from Chicago in the Midwest to the East Coast to visit family, we’ve hiked Yellowstone, Zion, Joshua Tree & Bryce among others, we’ve camped under the stars (and also in extreme wind and rain) and snowshoed through Montana in the depths of winter.
Another big part of our lives, as many will know, has been our cats (Monica hides her love of Jackie real well though so she probably won’t even mention her).

The first two years together were so wonderful and in December of 2022 we got engaged, the day after Christmas, by a frozen waterfall we had hiked to on snowshoes. Literally the only human beings that had made it that far out in the snow.
There is more to the story which we will share when we meet but the mixture of adrenaline from what was about to happen coupled with 7,000ft of elevation and a healthy appreciation for the dangers of the local wildlife, made for quite the experience.
And the rest is history
We are so very excited for this next step in life and look forward to getting together with our closest family & friends for an intimate wedding in Scotland on 29th April 2023.
